Medigap commonly known as Med Supp or Medicare Supplemental insurance, covers the common gaps in Original Medicare’s standard coverage. People who apply for Medigap coverage must be enrolled in Medicare parts A and B. Medigap plans supplement, but do not replace, primary Original Medicare coverage. They do not contain any prescription drug coverage. That would require an additional plan.
